Instructions

  3. In another bowl, mix milk, sour cream, and vanilla extract; set aside.
  4. Cream butter and sugar for about three minutes until smooth. Gradually add egg whites while mixing on low speed.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and wet mixture to the creamed butter until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool cakes in pans for 15–20 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
