  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 12 oz pasta (fusilli, rotini, or egg noodles)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg to form the meatball mixture.
  2. Shape into small balls and cook in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in beef broth followed by cream, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper; simmer until thickened.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet to heat through in the sauce.
  6. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and serve topped with meatballs and sauce.
