  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 10 oz. mushrooms (button or baby bella)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 34 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté sliced mushrooms until golden brown.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet, cook floured chicken breasts for about 5 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet. Deglaze with beef broth, bouillon cube, soy sauce, onion powder, mustard powder, thyme, vinegar, garlic, and remaining flour.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet; simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes until cooked through. Mix cornstarch with heavy cream; stir into the sauce to thicken.
