  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cream cheese layer)
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs, oil, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, vanilla, and orange food coloring; mix until creamy.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the dish, layer with cream cheese mixture, then top with remaining brownie batter.
  5. Swirl using a knife or skewer. Bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Cool before cutting.
